Pharmacy First at Halliwell Late Night Pharmacy
Pharmacy First is an NHS service that allows patients to receive advice and treatment for a range of common conditions directly from a pharmacist, without needing to see a GP.
Launched across England in January 2024, the service helps patients access care more quickly and reduces pressure on GP surgeries. At Halliwell Pharmacy, our trained pharmacy team can assess symptoms, provide clinical advice, and where appropriate, supply NHS-funded treatment.

Not all pharmacies offer treatment for every condition, so we recommend contacting us in advance to check availability.
How does it work?
You can either walk into the pharmacy or be referred by your GP practice or NHS 111. Our pharmacist will carry out a consultation in a private setting and advise on the most appropriate treatment.
If needed, we can provide medication under the NHS, or guide you to another service if your condition requires further care.
